“The Quiggs” is a husband and wife duo that has emerged on to the Scottish folk scene in the last few years. Stephen Quigg is a long established folksinger and former member of the legendary band “The McCalmans” and Pernille Quigg, originally from Denmark, is a folksinger and songwriter.
Together they comprise “The Quiggs”.

Maria was born in Scotland, but moved as a child with her family to Canada. She has been described as “an arrestingly powerful singer-songwriter who writes great historical and social commentary.” Her music blends Celtic folk with North American bluegrass and country influences.
A true preserver of the spirit of folk music, Maria is often compared to Woody Guthrie for her keen social awareness and her unvarnished songs about the lives of working men and women.

|30.11||Guests – Fil Campbell & Tom McFarlane
Irish singer Fil Campbell and her percussionist husband Tom McFarland, have been playing as a duo since the early 90s. The combination of vocals, guitar and percussion, a mix of original and traditional songs with lots of choruses and the Irish gift of chat and craic, has brought them around the world many times.
Start time for the folk club is 8:30pm, and the local nights and guest night are free entry (all welcome – performers especially welcome).
